This very pure true glass is unlike ordinary glass - it has only one component - silicon dioxide glass. This is the highest quality crystal clear glass that is found in avionics and in defense technology. For Ruggedized indoor applications, we use a 1/2 inch AR coated Polycarbonate facing that can withstand full impact without scratching or damaging the internal display.

“Take it outside” attitude, their product, an outdoor media station dubbed
the SONIS, enables the placement of these media stations in remote locations
to house and protect system components and electronics that, until now, had
to remain inside. The SONIS is a pod-like, maintenance-free enclosure that
is virtually indestructible, weather-resistant and tamperproof. The unit
incorporates commercially rated motors and controllers to raise and lower
its conical tower. A simple touch of a button, or a signal from a handheld
proximity reader, opens and closes the SONIS on command. A remote control is
offered as an optional feature.
When the SONIS tower is in a raised position it displays a control panel
that can also integrate a monitoring screen if requested.
